Taoist Scriptures to be Chanted on Tian Kuang Day (天貺日可誦念之道教經文)



This coming Saturday will be the Official Tian Kuang Day.

This is another important Taoist Day/Festival, since Song Dynasty.

... On this Day, besides the normal Honouring of Deities with Official Offerings, various Taoist Official Scriptures are encouraged to be Chanted or Recited.

In the following are a few suggestions that you might want to consider chanting or reciting on this Special Day.

1 – Tai Shang Qing Jing Jing (太上清靜經) – to cultivate for Serenity & Purity

2 – Yu Huang Xin Yin Miao Jing (玉皇心印妙經) – to cultivate the balancing of One’s Mind & Body

3 – San Guan Miao Jing (太上三官妙經) – dedicated to the Three Emperor Lords of Three Realms

4 – Bei Dou Miao Jing (太上北斗妙經) – dedicated to the Great Dipper Lords of the Northern Hemisphere

5 – Tai Shang Zheng Yi Chao Tian San Ba Xie Zui Bao Chan (太上正一朝天三八謝罪寶懺) – for Official Taoists/Priests to do Self-reflection & Repentance

6 – Yu Huang You Zui Xi Fu Bao Chan (玉皇宥罪錫福寶懺) – for Taoist Priests to conduct on behalf of Taoists & Folks for the requesting of Eliminating of Sins & Debts and Distribution of Blessing

7 – Dong Yue Scripture (元始天尊說東嶽化身濟生度死拔罪解冤保命玄範誥咒妙經) – dedicating to Lord Dong Yue for the Salvation of Sufferings Beings in the Three Realms

And last, 2 Rare Scriptures that Taoists will Chant on any Occasions;

The Dao De Jing (太上道德經) &

Tai Shang Gan Ying Pian (太上感應篇)

As for those whom are not able to do Chanting or do not know how to do Chanting, oneself can also Recite the following Praising Incantation aka Bao Gao.

1 – San Qing Bao Gao (三清道祖總誥)

2 – Yu Huang Bao Gao (玉皇寶誥)

3 – San Guan Bao Gao (三官大帝總誥)

4 – Tai Yi Bao Gao (太乙天尊寶誥)

5 –Pu Hua Bao Gao (普化天尊寶誥)

6 – Bei Dou Bao Gao (北斗星君總誥)

7 – Dong Yue Bao Gao (東嶽大帝寶誥)
