Telok Blangah Height Tian Gong Temple Dotting of New Statues Ceremony (萬壽山天公廟開光昇座法會)





Telok Blangah Height Tian Gong Temple (萬壽山天公廟), located at Telok Blangah Height – next to Block 45, will be conducting a Grand Ceremony of Dotting for the following 4 New Statues:

1 – Nan Hai Da Zhu Niang (南海大主娘)
2 – Monkey Sage (齊天大聖)
3 – Marshal Zhong Tan (中壇元帥)
4 – Fu De Zheng Shen aka Earth Deity (福德正神)

The Ceremony will be conducted on this coming Sunday (11 July 2010), starting at 9.00Am and end at about 5.00Pm.

Three Groups of Religious/Spiritual Masters will be engaged for the Dotting & Blessing Ceremony:

9.00Am – 11.00Am – Monk/Nun Chanting

11.00Am – 1.00Pm – Spiritual Enhancing Ritual

2.00Pm – 5.00Pm – Taoist Ritual

At 11.00Am, there will be a Taoist Cultural Tour on the discussion of Door Deities (門神知多少), Notes will be given.

  2. Yes, the old one had returned to my distance relatives, now these 3 new statues will be enhanced with the old energies into them, so that they can returned back to Tian Gong Temple to continue blessing the devotees.

  3. Interesting. Then in this case, what will be the difference if devotees were to go to either temple?

  4. Would there be any change from the previous 18 armed guanyin statue to a new nai hai guanyin in standing form? Any meaning?

  5. Usually the old group of devotees will still be coming to Tian Gong Temple. So if they will to go to either Temple, I think is up to their choice.
