On 15th Day of Lunar 6 Month (農曆六月十五日) is considered as the Manifestation Anniversary of Heavenly Marshal Wang Ling Guan (王天君/靈官).
In Year 2010, it falls on 26 July (a Monday).
In Taoism, Wang Ling Guan holds quite an Important Role.
During Rituals/Ceremonies, Wang Ling Guan will be invited in-order to do Inspection/Guarding for the Overall Event. Besides that, he is also the One who carried out "Punishment" if a Taoist make Serious Mistakes or Distorted the Teaching of Taoism.

ReplyDelete1. today (Lunar 15th day 6th month - Wang Tian Jun Manifestation Anniversary), since early morning (sun rises) in the city I live the sky is very cloudy and rainy.
Is that any meaning? bad/good omen?
Anyway I prepared joss papers to offer with hope that Wang Tian Jun would give chance to offer the papers. About 15 mins later, before the incenses burnt off (ca. 2 cm), the rain suddenly stopped. Very quickly I brought the joss papers to barrel (outside the home) and burnt them. Once the fire in the barrel is extinguished the rain comes again, so I had to run to the home :-)
2. When may I take the offering (fruits, flower) down from altar?
3. The last sentence of the bao gao of Wang Tian Jun "Tai Yi Lei Sheng Ying Hua Tian Zun". Why is it connected to "Tai Yi" = "Tai Yi Tian Zun" and not connected to "Pu Hua Tian Zun"?
Pu Hua is the chief of Thunder dept and the boss of Wang Tian Jun, right?

You can take down the fruits after u offered the Evening Incenses.
Wang Ling Guan does not really have any relation with Tai Yi Tian Zun but somehow can considered as the Subodinate of Pu Hua.

ReplyDeleteI thought the title of deity e.g. "Tai Yi Lei Sheng Ying Hua Tian Zun" shows the "membership" of a deity to a dept. Therefore I was confused the word "Tai Yi" in Wang Tian Jun's title.
Haha, cos there are quite alot of deities have that title.
