Its really fast that a New Lunar Year has entered into the 2nd Month.

For Taoism, Lunar 2 Month is again another Busy Month for Honouring dedicating to various Important Deities.

Such Deities are Fu De Zheng Shen (福德正神) aka Deity of Earth, Lord Wen Chang (文昌帝君) aka Deity of Academic Study & Career, Lord Supreme (太上道德天尊) aka Founder of Dao, etc.

In here, Jave will like to touch on the Ushering of Fu De Zheng Shen on the 1st Day of Lunar 2 Month.

In Taoism, this Practise had somehow being forgotten by the People. In the Ancient Era, before the Honouring that took place on the 2nd Day of Lunar 2 Month, Taoists were need to conduct a Simple Ceremony to usher in Fu De Zheng Shen.

This Ushering got a few Purposes, they are:

1) To indicate a New Season has arrive
2) To show Gratitude to Fu De Zheng Shen
3) To request for New Blessing for the New Lunar Year

On the 1st Day Evening, after Sunset, Taoists will prepared a few simple sets of Offerings, such as Oranges, Wine, Chinese Tea, Candies & some Kueh stuffs to place in front of the Altar of Fu De Zheng Shen.

Before Lighting of Incenses & the Candles, the Leader of the Family will tear down the Old Painting/Scroll of Fu De Zheng Shen and change a New one up.

Once the changing is done, Offering of Incenses & Candles will be made and after the Offering, some Paper Offerings will be burnt off for ushering Fu De Zheng Shen back into the House.

On the 2nd Day of Lunar 2 Month, which is known as Tou Ya (頭牙) aka 1st Honouring for Wealth & Smoothness in ALL Jobs, another round of Honouring dedicating to Fu De Zheng Shen will be conducted.

In some contexts, this Day is also known as the Manifestation Anniversary of Fu De Zheng Shen.

Besides the Honouring, some Bosses will also treat their Employees to a Good Meal after the Honouring, hoping that in this New Lunar Year, everyone can be Safe and the Money that the Company is earning will be Doubled.
