  1. Thanks Shifu Jave for doing up this detail publication.

I would personally like to visit :
<< Telok Blangah Tian Gong Temple (萬壽山天公廟) – Telok Blangah Height (beside Blk 45) >>

When you feel troubled and hope that there would be some celestial being out there to listen and help you, this is the good temple you can go to.

Situated just about 4 - 5 bus stops away from VIVOCITY, this pink coloured chinese temple is just the right temple you can visit.

They have this Thousand Hand Guan Yin seated at the LEFT Hall.

At present, our Thousand Hand Guanyin Bodhisattva (also known as Zhun Ti ), has been arranged for
    gold-painting.

If you are feeling vexed and needs a good temple to seek deity's help, this Blk 45 (Telok Blangh) temple is just the temple you can visit.

  6. Hi Jave,
you mention that there are spiritual beings to avoid, but I understand that some temples actually have the spiritual beings to avoid placed there
Could you list the temples to avoid and which are safe to go to without the spiritual beings to avoid placed there?
    No
Nether World Deities or Beings (冥界神靈)
    Tiger Deity (虎神)
    Snake Deity (蛇神)
    Five Ghosts (五鬼)
Which temples have the spiritual beings to avoid and which temples do not have spiritual beings to avoid
    Thanks

  8. when we visit a temple and pray to only some and not all of the deities there, is it ok?
is it disrespectful to not pray to all the deities there?
    some temples have many deities

    ReplyDelete
  9. Yes, its ok. For us, usually we will avoid placing Incenses into the Urn of the Nether World Section, we just make sincere Bow will do.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I noted Deities that Zodiacs can look upon seem to change each year and different from other zodiacs.
Can we pray to the previous year deities or deities for other zodiacs?
will it have any effect good or bad

    ReplyDelete
  11. Usually the Deities in-charge will changed accordingly, unless you are taking about your own Spiritual Protectors, but this only applies to those who have gone thru the Spiritual Registration as an Official Taoist for learning Spiritual Skills.

  12. Jade emperor is not listed as Deity I can look upon, but can i pray to Jade emperor for blessings?
also may i know how to identify Jade emperor in the temple
and the opening hours for temples?
and can i just go pray without incense in front of jade emperor?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Of cos Jade Emperor can be look upon for Blessing.

Usually Jade Emperor in most of the Temples does not have statue, the temples will usually dedicate a Big Urn that being place at the main entrance. If you are honouring Jade Emperor, you can just place your Incenses in that Urn after you have made your request.

For Temples that are close during your visiting, of cos you can honour him outside. Just sincerely make 3 bows will do, need not stand there for too long. If you are sincere, your action will be known by the Heaven.

  14. can i qiu qian to know what Jade Emperor divines for me or use crescent to get reply

    ReplyDelete
  15. Usually Tian Gong do not have Qian. You can just use the Divination Block to ask for permission or an answer.

    ReplyDelete
  16. may i know which part of the temple can use the Divination Block to ask for permission or an answer ?
can i do that when temple is closed?
can i use coins in place of Divination Blocks?
Or Can I do it near the window at home?

    ReplyDelete
  17. When there are Deities, you will be able to ask for permission or an answer.
Dont do it when the Temple is close.
For Deities, we dont use Coins, that only mend for Ancestors.
Dont do at home without any Deities.

  18. Havelock tian gong miao have qian.

    ReplyDelete
  19. That Qian they using follows Guan Yin Qian.

  20. I would like to use the Divination Block to ask for permission or an answer from Tian Gong,
but I understand that Jade Emperor in most of the Temples does not have statue, the temples will usually dedicate a Big Urn that being place at the main entrance, so
Is there a temple where there is a Jade Emperor statue, if yes, which temple?
if no Jade Emperor statue, which part of the temple can i use the Divination Block to ask for permission or an answer from Tian Gong?
Can I ask for permission or an answer from Tian Gong without lighting incense?
If recommended to light incense, should it be before or after using the Divination Block to ask for permission or an answer from Tian Gong?

    ReplyDelete
  21. You can go to Havelock Road Yu Huang Temple or Telok Blangah Height Tee Kong Temple, address are being stated on top.

Light incenses and report to Yu Huang on your request and then throw the Divination Block.

If you are not sure, you can ask the Temple keepers, they will assist you on the spot.
