Thanksgiving to Lord Tai Sui of Ji Chou Year 2009 (答謝己丑當年太歲星君)

So fast that almost a Year is going to end. Its again the Period for Taoists & Chinese to return our Gratitude to Lord Tai Sui of the Year (known as Thanksgiving 答謝).

This Year, Dong Zhi aka Winter Solstice (冬至) falls on the 7th Day of Lunar 11 Month (農曆十一月初七日), which is 22 Dec 2009. From now till then is only 5 Days apart, so for those who have yet to return their Gratitude to Lord Tai Sui, please do act fast. Remember to return to the Temple that you have made your Honouring during the Lunar New Year period.

For those who are not able to do so, do not worry, you can still find a Good Day between 23 Dec 2009 till 29 Jan 2010 to pay your Gratitude to Lord Tai Sui. Once you miss this Period, then I can say that, you are really Busy or you are too Lazy.

So what to bring?

As usual, the same items that I have posted last year:

Oneself can prepared a set of 5 oranges (五粒桔子), 1 packet of tea leaves (茶葉一包), 1 packet of Traditional Cookies (餞盒一包) and 1 set of incense-paper (1000 normal Gold-paper 千金一份, 1 pack of Gui Ren-paper 貴人紙一套) and an Official Thanks-Giving Spiritual Petition for Lord Tai Sui (謝太歲疏文). For some, you will need to get a Bottle of Oil (一罐清油).

Last of All, remember not to make any Un-necessary requesting while returning Gratitude to Lord Tai Sui. As long as you are Upright and Sincere, you will be blessed.

  8. Hi shifu Jave, I have a printed pic of Ji Chou Tai Sui 2009 on home altar. Should I remove the pic after thanksgiving on Dec 22nd 2009? If not, when is the correct time?
    Thank you in advance.

    Warm regards,

  9. You can removed it after 16th Day of Lunar 12 Month. Once removed, burnt it off and then replaced a new one after that.

  11. To be more accurate, you have already miss out the Good Days for returning of the Gratitude to Lord Tai Sui.

So now, you must do it as soon as possible before 16th Day of Lunar 12 Month.

Just go to the Temple that you have honour Tai Sui during the starting of the Year to return the Gratitude.

  12. Good day Master, I have registered for blessing ceremony for Lord Wen Chang at a temple in my hometown early this year, but I could not make it back to the same temple by the 16th day of Lunar 12th Month. I will only be back on Li Chun day. Please advise. Thanks

  13. Then try to do it before Li Chun and not on Li Chun. Once Li Chun day arrives, meaning that, that will be another Year.
