A Visit to Ong Clan Temple (一訪王氏宗祠大廟)

Yesterday, 08 Sep 2009, after paying our Respect to the Deities in the Combined Temple located at Bukit Batok Street 23, Vabien & I continued our journey to the Ong Clan Temple located at the walking distance from the Combined Temple.

This was one of the few very Rare Temple that I wanted to visit too and on 08 Sep, my wish was fulfilled.

After stepping into the compound of the Ong Clan Temple, a Peaceful feeling was surrounding us. Due to this was also the Columborium for the Ong Clan, so it seems to be a bit Quiet.

Soon, after walking around to enjoy the Scenery, we came to the Main Hall where the Altars dedicated to the Ancestors of Ong Clan were. After we took off our shoes (as a form of Respect), we proceed with our Offering of Incenses to the Ong Ancestors and last, Photo Taking Time.

The whole Hall was brightly lit-up and for sure was that, the Hall look superb Grand & Official.

Outside the Main Hall, there was a Plaque stated that our Ex-President Mr Ong Teng Cheong was there to declare the Official Opening of the Temple.

This is a Temple that worth Taoists & Chinese to visit.
