A Visit to Singapore Kiew Leong Thong (一訪新加坡九龍堂)

Yesterday, 7 Jan 2009, me and one of my Taoist Classmate - Mr Ronni, pay a visit to Singapore Kiew Leong Thong, located along Cantonment Road.

This was the first time that we visited this Building.

While we were there, we found out that this Building was built 81 Years ago, dedicating to the Clan with the Surname Lin (林氏).

Upon arriving at the Building, we were being greeted by the Keeper of the Building, which is the descendant of the Lin Ancestor, after having a short chat with him, he guided us to visit the Main Hall at Level 2, where the Main Altar dedicating to Ma Zu (媽祖) and Bi Gan (比干) were being honoured. (Bi Gan, the Premier of Shang Dynasty, was the 1st Person to initial the start of the surname Lin's Lineage).

After paying respect to the Deities, we walked around the Building to take some pictures and then, proceed for our next meeting.

This Building was indeed beautiful and worth keeping for the other newer Generations to visit and study. A very typical Old Building (mixture of Local Chinese and Baba-Nyonya Style).
