Scrolls Painting of the Taoist 16 Heavenly Marshals (道教十六天君)

In the following 2 pictures, you can see the initial Taoist 16 Heavenly Marshals that being invited during Grand Taoist Rituals/Ceremonies or while special Ritual/Ceremony is conducted.

In the Initial Period of Taoism, only these 16 Heavenly Marshals are being recorded which later, due to the influences of Folks Culture and other Taoist Schools Teaching, more Marshals & Generals are being added to form the so-called 36 Heavenly Marshals (eg: 36 Generals of Xuan Tian Shang Di, 36 Generals of Bao Sheng Da Di, etc).

So who are the 16 Heavenly Marshals?

Here there are:

(In Painting No 1)
Top Row (starting from left) –
Marshal Tie Tou (鐵頭天君), Marshal Xin Xing (辛興天君)

2nd Row (starting from left) –
Marshal Deng Hua (鄧化天君), Marshal Yin Jiao (殷郊天君), Marshal Zhao Gong Ming (趙公明天君)

3rd Row (starting from left) –
Marshal Bai Hu (白虎天君), Marshal Kang Xi (康席天君), Marshal Liu Jun (劉俊天君)

3rd Row (starting from left) –

Each of them is being appointed to task to look into by the Heaven.

For Long Shan Men, during Rituals/Ceremonies, invitation of these 16 Heavenly Marshals is a Must. And a special dotting ceremony for the invitation will be done to represent the arrival of these 16 Marshals.
