Pictures of Guang Hui Zun Wang (廣惠尊王)





Guang Hui Zun Wang (廣惠尊王) aka Xie Sheng Wang (謝聖王), in some contexts, known as Xie Fu Qian Sui (謝府千歲) or Xie Fu Jiang Jun (謝府將軍), real name known as Xie An (謝安) or Xie An Shi (謝安石).

Xie An, born in AD 320, Jin Dynasty (生于晉朝), hometown in He Nan Province, Tai Kang Area (家鄉於河南省太康).

Since young, he got his learning and knowledge from his father, after he grew up, he was being well-known for his wisdom on Military and Political Issues.

At the age of 40 plus, Xie An then joined in the Imperial Court to serve the Nation. Immediately after he joined the Imperial Court, he was given important post to assist the Emperor.

AD 371, the rebellious General Huan Wen (桓溫) overthrew the Jin Emperor, but with the help and careful-planning of Xie An, Jin Emperor was able to retain his authority.

AD 385, Lunar 8 Month, Xie An passed away at the age of 66 (享年66歲).

After his death, folks respected him as Deity of Loyalty and wisdom of Military Arts. Today, in China Hokkien Province, temples dedicated to Xie An are still able to be found and in Taiwan, more than 10 Temples are built dedicated to him.

Over the years, different titles were being bestowed upon him by different Emperors, here they are:

1 – Xie Fu Yuan Shuai 謝府元帥
2 - Guang Hui Sheng Wang 廣惠聖王
3 - Guang Ying Zun Wang 廣應尊王
4 – Xian Ji Ling Wang 顯濟靈王
5 – Hu Guo Zun Wang 護國尊王
