Master Xu Xun aka Heavenly Master Xu Xun (許遜天師), in other contexts, he's aka Gan Tian Da Di (感天大帝).
Due to he's the founder of Taoist Jing Ming Sect (淨明派), sometime, the followers will also address him as Master Jing Ming aka Jing Ming Zu Shi (淨明祖師).

you know wat the name for the normal gan tian da di we see in temple , you got pics of his two generals beside him.
ReplyDeleteThe one we see in the Temples is known as Jie Zi Tui, a historical character in the Spring Autumn Era, at that time, he got no assistants with him, so that only being added by the folks after that.

ReplyDeleteHahahaha.. the actual Gan Tian Da Di got no assistants, he only got a few popular disciples such as Zhang Gong Fa Zhu, Lin Shui Fu Ren.
