Combination Sets of the 5 Marshals of the 5 Directional Camps (民間五營神將簡介)

5 Marshals of the 5 Directional Camps, in chn we address them as “Wu Ying Shen Jiang (五營神將)”, in hkk we address them as Ghor Yar Khun Jiong (五營軍將) or Guan Shui (元帥).

In folks’ culture, there are a few set of combinations, here’s some brief introduction on them:

  2. This is a very common combination that almost all temples will use this set.

  5. Hahahaha.. once someone put in Wang Tian Jun with the other Camp Marshals, this group is consider as not accurate, and somemore here, a combination of Buddhist Deities and Taoist Deities.

Hua Guang, the Spirit of Fire and the one who in-charge of Fire-Life in Main Stream Taoism, which belongs to the Element of South, why suddenly there's a change of Element from Fire to Gold (in other contexts as Metal)?

May I know where you got this info from?

  10. Ya anyway Buddhist Deities and Taoist Deities some are the same but got difference names only like the Jade Emperor is recited as 'Namo Yin To La Ye' in the Shurangama Mantra and he is know as Indra or as Lord Sakra in he buddism and he is the protector of the buddha's dharma
Ya, I think u can tell the others the number of incense and its meanings like 1 is a whole hearted person and 3 is heaven , man and earth .5 is north-south-east-west-center and-water-fire-wood-gold-earth.7 is the netherworld and 9 is representing straight to the heaven and lot of others, i think lots of people don't really know of this.
